ISO 14001 Certification

Bureau Veritas presents ISO 14001 environmental management certificate to East Metal Group

Esbjerg, 22 June 2016

At the end of May 2016, East Metal’s facilities in Esbjerg and Nakskov in Denmark underwent Bureau Veritas’s certification process together with its factories in Dobele, Daugavpils, and Jelgava in Latvia.

The highly regarded certification document has now been received by the company’s QSE and HR Director, Dorte Møller:  "We’re justifiably proud of our proprietary quality management system, which with this new certification has stood us in good position to meet the high environmental management standards that we set. In this way East Metal is taking active responsibility for its customers and employees, as well as for the protection of the environment.”

East Metal now has certified systems for production processes (EN/ISO 9001, EN/ISO 3834, and EN 1090-2), work safety and management (OHSAS 18001), and environmental management (EN/ISO 14001).

This means that East Metal can serve its customers as subcontractor for heavy and complex steel structures and components in a responsible manner focusing on product quality, work environment, safety, and environmental protection.

In addition, East Metal has chosen to adhere to the guidelines of the UN Global Compact, which goes to assure East Metal’s customers of the company’s ethical and socially responsible operations.
